Phoenix remastered!

I love the band Phoenix and was delighted to see their interview in the Guardian this week, I’ve followed them for ten years and they just seem to get better and better. The Guardian pointed me towards this fantastic version of their song ‘Liztomania’ on their recent album ‘Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix’ by the U.S. choir PS22. Enjoy!! (see their blog at

is this the greatest blog ever made???

We all love style, facehunter rocks, the stylebubble is fab, and just overwhelms you with ideas and obviously, the sartorialist…it’s a classic. But wait, I hear there’s a new cat in town….the catorialist!!! I love cats, I hope one day we live in a world where they rule but for now, I will just look at this whenever I am down and chuckle….

Nuff respect.

spring up yoself

I’ve been assessing my flat lately, not only does it gather dust, it gathers ephemera to the max, I am having a clear out, I will be piling up things for charity, ebay etc but I shall also be going on a shopping trip to brighten it up (and chill out on spending on clothes) and tidying up. I don’t know if it’s the little bit of sun I’ve seen coming out the past few days or what but I have a sudden obsession with florals…the kind Cath Kidston does ( Cath Kidston Washbag £28 above) and dare I say…the granny chic kind. Feel the love ladies, feel the florals!!

For a while now I’ve been keeping a secret, a stylish and sexy secret… log on to etsy and search for ‘I heart Norwegian Wood’. She makes the most original clothing and accessories and I only dream of having this lady’s talent…I especially covet her cage skirts and her chain and fringe necklaces. Must buy…..see her work at:

Two door cinema club are an indie rock band from Northern Ireland. They are signed to uber hip Kitsune records and their album is very reminiscent of the likes of phoenix and passion pit. Much recommended, their new single Undercover Martyn is out today!
